Why Students are Rejecting America’s Top Colleges

A Fiscal Times article called “Why students are Rejecting America’s Top Colleges”  addresses the new view of many families.  Parents are beginning to re-evaluate the college selection process.  College affordability is becoming a bigger issue for more families. For years, I have been talking about the cost benefits of a college degree.  Just having a college degree is not good enough in today’s economic conditions.  Student and parent are starting to put more of a priority on cost when it comes to the college decision.  The return on investment or ROI of the college selection is important factor, now.

With more information available on employment opportunities and debt levels of recent college graduates, families are evaluating the financial outcome of the education. Making the right college decision requires a blend of academic, environmental and financial viewpoints to maximize the return.
